Right of Access

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, anyone may request access to his or her own personal data. Personal data is any information that can be related to you as a person – e.g. your name, address or CPR number.

The purpose of the right of access is to give you the opportunity to verify that we process your personal data on a legal basis.

How to request access

You can request access to your personal data at VP by following the instructions below.

What our reply will include

You have a right to know whether or not we process your personal data, and in such case, which data we process, and the purpose of the processing.

You are also entitled to receive a copy of the personal data, however with some restrictions.

When you receive a response to your request for access, we must also inform you from where the data originates, whether we disclose it to other parties, how long we keep the data, and whether you have the right to have the data deleted.

VP is licensed as a Central Securities Depository by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority. We are subject to a number of requirements; as a Central Securities Depository we must among other things keep all data for ten years. Therefore, you cannot always require us to delete your personal data.
