Appointment of new CEO in VP LUX
The Chairman and the Board of Directors of VP LUX, the Luxembourg Central Securities Depository (CSD) owned by the Danish CSD VP SECURITIES, are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Andrea Tranquillini as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.
Mr Tranquillini will replace Mr Flemming Andersen who has guided the company since its inception in 2009 and who will now take a deserved retirement. The Chairman and the Board of Directors wish to thank Mr Andersen for the commitment and the efforts produced which have contributed to the success of the company during these years.
Mr Tranquillini, took office on 1 April 2017, and joins VP LUX from the London Stock Exchange Group, where he has lead until recently the other Luxembourg central securities depositary, globeSettle SA, as Managing Director of Business Development.
Mr Tranquillini will bring an experience gained across six European countries
(Italy, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and United Kingdom), for the
custodian banks (JP Morgan, BNP Paribas Securities Services), the consulting
firm (Capco) and the infrastructures (DBAG/Clearstream and the London Stock
Exchange Group/Monte Titoli/globeSettle). Mr Tranquillini will head the European
sales and relations activities of the VP Group.
